Ninth offering on Polena Recordings comes from a young maverick called Juravlove. Real name Igor Zhuravlev, he is a producer, promoter, DJ and radio host based in St. Petersburg, Russia. A member of DJ crew poliritm and a host of Bad Bad Song radio show, he is very active in local, burgeoning electronic scene, playing regularly in clubs like Tancploshadka, Kuznya and others.
Juravlove really likes having fun and his music is no different. He tends to keep it simple by using keyboards, drum machines and tapes preceding his date of birth. Resulting sound is cheeky and effortless, inspired by all kinds of funk, R&B, house and electro. Playful synths, catchy riffs, short vocals snippets and quirky drums are combined in a way that will absorb both the dancer and the listener. That, alongside Juravlove's ear for the groove, vibe and melody, makes "Moralny Boost" a very strong debut release. It's also a showcase of many talents of this young producer. From R&B-sampling electro cuts like "Deep", through boogie house vibe of "Don't Stop", toward full-on electronic funk in "I like" and tongue-in-cheek cover of "Sintezator" - every track collected here offers something different and all of them are special. Welcome to the sound of Juravlove!
